Privacy policy
In effect from October 8, 2026.
Dinner Organized is a meal planner for iPhone made by Salt City Labs. This page says what the app and this website do with information about you.
The short version
- The app works without an account, and what you put in it stays on your iPhone.
- If you create an account, we store your email address, a display name and the time you confirmed you are 13 or older.
- There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking, in the app or on this website. We do not sell information about you.
- You can delete your account in the app, or by emailing us.
What stays on your iPhone
Your recipes, weekly plans, shopping lists, cooking history, household profiles and settings are stored on your iPhone. The app does not send them to us.
If you turn on calendar sync, the app adds dinner and reminder events to the calendar on your iPhone. It changes only the events it created, and it does not send your calendar to us.
Because this information is on your phone, it may be included in the backups your iPhone makes. Those are handled by Apple under your own iCloud settings.
You can erase it at any time with “Delete all local data” in the app’s Settings, or by deleting the app.
If you create an account
An account is optional. If you create one, we store:
- your email address;
- a display name, which you can change;
- the date and time you confirmed that you are 13 or older;
- an identifier for the account, and the dates it was created and last changed.
If you sign up with an email address and password, the password is handled by our sign-in provider, which stores it in a scrambled form. We never see it.
If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple tells us that you signed in and gives us an email address. If you choose Hide My Email, that is a private relay address made by Apple, not your own.
We use this information to sign you in, to show your account in the app and to answer you when you write to us. We do not use it for advertising.
What our servers record
When the app talks to our servers, for example to load the recipe catalog or your account, the servers record the request: the time, what was asked for, and the internet address (IP address) it came from. We use these records to keep the service running and secure. We keep them for a limited time and do not use them to build a profile of you.
This website
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics. The company that hosts it handles your internet address in order to deliver the pages. The page you see after confirming your email briefly receives sign-in details in its address; it removes them straight away and does not store or send them.
When you email us
We keep your message and your address so that we can answer and follow up.
Companies that handle information for us
We use a small number of companies to run the service. They handle information on our instructions and only to provide their part of it:
- Supabase, for sign-in and the account database;
- DigitalOcean, for the servers the app talks to;
- Cloudflare, for this website, its internet address records and forwarding email sent to us;
- Apple, if you use Sign in with Apple.
Account information is stored in the United States.
Deleting your account
In the app, open Settings, find Account and choose Delete Account. You lose access straight away, your sign-in is removed, and what we hold about the account is permanently erased within 30 days. You can also email us from the account’s address and we will delete it for you.
Deleting your account does not remove what is stored on your iPhone. Use “Delete all local data” for that.
Children
Dinner Organized is not meant for children under 13, and creating an account requires confirming that you are 13 or older. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email us and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us from the address on your account so that we know the request is yours.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
